Pin Soccer
A great game that we played today was pin soccer. Every rule that you use for standard soccer applies in this game. The difference is that there are no goals. I order to score you must knock down the opposing team's pin. Another thing that I also like to do is throw in extra balls so that everyone gets a chance to be part of the game. I start out with one , then gradually thrown in up to four balls depending on the class age and size.

Hey Trevor, soccer is my favorite sport (to play and watch) I played in high school, college, and still play in a women's league. I have never heard of pin soccer but it sounds exciting and fun to play. I am going to see if the PE teachers in my department know about this game. Being a health only teacher I am not up-to-date with all of the PE game, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great game! I will be trying that with my youth soccer team. I like to add things to games like making them execute 4 passes before shooting the ball or keeping score of the most consecutive passes made by a team during one possession of the ball. Taking a great game and modifying it can go a long way to help work on other aspects of the game.
DeleteSounds like an interesting twist! I've never played soccer and haven't taken much time to try to learn the game. One of my friends husband is a PE teacher. I'll have to share this idea with him!
